As a golf fanatic, how can I avoid commenting on yesterday’s big news about the merger of PGA Tour and LIV Golf? The short answer is that I can’t. There are a ton of details to be worked out, but the agreement in principle is there. Who’d guessed this? (answer further below)

From my perspective this is good news, if for no other reason, all of the negative energy in the world of golf will finally be neutralized and we can all move forward. Honestly though, I’m still a bit shocked. It seemed like the golf world would be divided forever.
As to the question of, “who’d guessed this?” Believe it or not, everyone’s favorite personality, Donald Trump, predicted it two years ago! If the PGA Tour and LIV Golf can come together, who’s to say, maybe Democrats and Republicans are next? Well OK, that is a bit too optimistic isn’t it?
