History was made yesterday in the NCAA Final Four Tournament, writes CBSSports.com’s Chip Peterson. “No. 16 seed Farleigh Dickinson pulled off the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history Friday night, taking down No. 1 seed Purdue 63-58 in the first round of the East Region,” he wrote in his story. So if you were like me and picked Purdue to win it all, then let us pick ourselves up, wipe off the dust and look ahead to 2024!
But in spite of the big upset, several people had very good picking days yesterday. Joyce, Doc Jim and Joseph led the charge by nailing 13 out of the 16 games. With the first round in the books, Josie still leads the way in points with 126, a bit ahead of Joyce, Joseph and Justin. The second round begins with eight games today and eight more tomorrow. Those at the top may be crowing right now, but as we all know, this thing still has a long way to go.
